Heavenly Worship – What a Revelation!

February 11, 2013

When I was a child, my favourite book of the Bible was Revelation. It is strange and interesting, full of exciting images and battles, and it definitely appeals to people who like fantasy!

I still find it fascinating, even if I struggle more with the meaning of it all than I did 35 years ago. The main point is quite easy to get: there’s a battle going on between good and evil, and good wins in the end. But what about the rest?

I’m sorry to say that I’m not going to give you a definitive explanation of Revelation; many have tried, but they still don’t agree; so why would I do any better? I will, however, point to one important aspect of the book: worship. The focal point of the book of Revelation isn’t the big end-time battle or the number of the Beast; it’s the eternal worship that goes on in the heavenly command centre (ch. 4-5).

There’s God the Father on the throne, so glorious that we can’t see what he looks like, surrounded by angelic creatures who constantly worship him: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty”; “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power”. And there’s God the Son, a.k.a the Lamb of God, who died in order to redeem humanity from sin; the angelic beings worship him as well: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength…” In the grand finale, every creature in the whole universe unites in praising both the Father and the Son: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honour and glory and power, for ever and ever!”

Whatever goes on in the world, God is on the throne. Whatever happens, Jesus – God’s perfect sacrifice – is worthy to be worshipped, because he gave his life to purchase a people for God. If you are a member of that people, you are called to join the heavenly worship, now and eternally: praise Jesus with your words and your life, and invite others to do the same.

And if you’re not a member of that people: what are you waiting for? Join the team now, before it’s too late; it’s worth it, since we know that Jesus wins in the end!

SEE: If you desire to see the Truth you have to read all the posts from the first to the last in order. If not you will only see Babylon (confusion) the Great.

    • Hi! I started looking at your blog posts but they are seriously complicated… If you’re saying that every church is Babylon, I would disagree with you (although I agree that becoming state religion was the biggest tragedy that ever happened to the church); if you want to warn the church to stay faithful to Jesus, then I’m with you! But let’s not forget that Jesus is much more forgiving than we humans tend to be, and will accept believers into his Kingdom even if they haven’t got all their doctrines right, as long as they trust in his blood to get there!

Hello David, Simply put it is the entire man made system that is the problem. But, in order to see it clearly one has to go through Revelation Unveiled chapter by chapter, verse by verse, otherwise….
